The Village of Buffalo Grove has introduced a new initiative called “Faces of Buffalo Grove,” aiming to highlight the diversity and unique stories of its residents through photographs and personal narratives.
Residents are encouraged to participate by submitting their own photos or stories that reflect their relationship with Buffalo Grove. Alternatively, they can sign up for professional photo sessions organized by the Village, scheduled for November 18 and 19. Selected submissions may be used in various Village communications, including publications and marketing materials.
Molly Gillespie, Director of Communications and Engagement, explained the motivation behind the campaign: “Buffalo Grove’s Smart. With heart. brand is rooted in the spirit of our residents. Every person who calls BG home contributes to the fabric of our community in their own way. Faces of Buffalo Grove is a chance to showcase that diversity, pride, and connection — and to literally put our people at the heart of our story.”
Participation in this campaign is voluntary and open to all residents. Those interested can find more information or register at vbg.org/facesofbg. If there are more applicants for photo sessions than available slots, participants will be chosen randomly.
This project is part of ongoing efforts by the Village to better connect with residents from different backgrounds and experiences.
Further details are available at vbg.org/facesofbg or by emailing communications@vbg.org.
