Round Lake Area Park District issued the following announcement on Nov. 26.

Weather cancellations for activities will be posted at:

• Website - www.rlapd.org/cancellations
• Facebook Page - www.Facebook.com/rlapd

In most cases, School District #116 closures do not determine our daily operations. In addition, the Round Lake Area Park District will not cancel activities based upon a weather forecast. Weather and facility conditions will be considered when determining the cancellation or modification of an activity. Activities may be cancelled at any time subject to the discretion of the Executive Director. At all times, participants and parents of participants have the ultimate responsibility to make decisions regarding participation in an activity based on weather conditions.

School Age and Pre-School Program Procedures

If the Round Lake School District #116 or any of the out-of-district schools closes, full-day emergency care is available for those registered in our Before or After Care Program for those schools at an extra fee of $20 per day.

Full Day Preschool will not close due to weather (unless the whole county shuts down during a blizzard). Those students pay their normal fees.

Half-Day Preschool follows Round Lake District #116's snow day schedule, so if the school closes, so do the programs.
