City of Highland Park Sister Cities Foundation met Aug. 26.

Here is the agenda provided by the foundation:

I. Call to Order

II. Approval of Minutes from July

III. Treasurer’s Report

IV. Puerto Vallarta

a. Jorge’s visit-President of the tortilla guild

b. Highland Park week in PV-Celebrating 18th Anniversary

c. 6th Student Jazz Festival (They plan to arrive the morning or around noon of Thursday, February 13, 2020. Concerts on Friday and Saturday evening.)

d. Yoga/Pilates program (DIF and Citlali’s program for seniors)

e. Chiropractor Program (DIF and PV Animal Welfare program)

f. Los Mangos Library

g. La Desembocada "Desemboc-Arte" is still alive and well.

i. A student of Citlalli, from the architecture degree, is going to work on Saturdays with the children.

ii. At the Mango Festival the children presented their works to the public. Some children sold paintings.

iii. The project is working with Rotarians
