Q2 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60060 convicted of crimes involving alcohol

There were two offenders convicted of crimes involving alcohol released on parole near Illinois zip code 60060 during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Lake County Gazette.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in 60060. The younger parolee was a 34-year-old woman sentenced in 2019. The other was a 57-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Salvador M. Morales. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2018 when he was 56 years old. He is now 57.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
