City of Park City City Council met Nov. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The City of Park City held its regular Council meeting at City Hall, 3355 Belvidere Road, Park City, Illinois. Mayor Steve Pannell called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm

RECITED PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

CALL TO ORDER – Mayor Pannell

ROLL CALL – City Clerk Dirzo

Present: Aldermen Telle, Dennis, Bibian, Eaker

In Attendance: Mayor Steve Pannell, City Attorney Peter Karlovics, City Clerk Dirzo, City Engineer Ken Magnus, Utilities Inspector Bernard Pondextor

Absent: Police Chief Holderbaum, Alderman Hart, Alderman Ortega

PRESENTATION BY JOHN TOMACK WITH DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE APPROVAL OF HEALTH INSURANCE AND WORKERS COMPENSATION. It was motioned by Alderman Eaker and seconded by Alderman Dennis to Approve Workman’s Compensation Insurance and Health Insurance renewal.

Ayes: 4 Aldermen: Telle, Dennis, Bibian, Eaker

Nays: 0

Motion Passed

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:

Motioned by Alderman Eaker and seconded by Alderman Bibian to Approve Consideration of the Consent Agenda by Omnibus Vote, items A through C:

A. Approval of Regular Council Meeting Minutes – October 21st, 2021

B. Reading and Approval of Bills Payable – November 4th, 2021

C. Approval to upgrade the phone system with CallOne with a cost not to exceed $45,000.

It was motioned by Alderman Dennis and seconded by Alderman Telle to approve items A through C of the Consent Agenda.

Nays: 0

COMMITTEE REPORTS

A. WATER AND SEWER COMMITTEE – CHAIRMAN DENNIS

I. Engineer Magnus working with Sabel through the submittal process. He will need to schedule an onsite meeting in November to review process and what is expected of project. B. LICENSE AND FINANCE COMMITTEE – CHAIRMAN BIBIAN – NO REPORT C. PARKS AND RECREATION – LIAISON – ALDERWOMAN ORTEGA – ABSENT

STAFF, OFFICERS, AND COUNCIL MEMBERS COMMENTS:

A. POLICE CHIEF – WALTER HOLDERBAUM – NOT PRESENT

B. ENGINEER – KENNETH MAGNUS

I. Engineer Magnus is working on projects to eliminate flooding and enlarge drainage. Agreements are being worked on and work done can be paid out of MFT funds; expects next project to be on the west side between Old Skokie Rd & Skokie Hwy 41 – storm water sewer issues.

C. BUILDING DEPARTMENT & PUBLIC WORKS – MAYOR PANNELL – NO REPORT

D. CITY ATTORNEY – PETER KARLOVICS

I. At the request of the City’s Police Department, Attorney Karlovics will work to draft an ordinance that will allow the City to impose fees for overweight vehicles. II. Greenlight Cannabis – they are moving forward with their application process, no new updates.

E. ALDERMEN

TELLE: Recurring trash issues with Colonial Park Apartments.

BIBIAN: Inquired about TIFF project – no new updates per Mayor Pannell.

F. CITY CLERK – NO REPORT

G. CITY TREASURER – NOT PRESENT

MAYOR’S REPORTS AND APPOINTMENTS: All appointments are for 1 year unless stated otherwise.

It was motioned by Alderman Eaker and Seconded by Alderman Telle to Adjourn the Regular Council Meeting at 7:37PM.
