City of Highland Park Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met April 22.

CALL TO ORDER

At 4:32 PM Chairman Rachman called the meeting to order and asked for a roll call.

ROLL CALL

Members Present: Chairman Stephen Rachman, Commissioner Kiki Katz Members Absent: Commissioner Steven Adatto

Staff Present: Fire Chief Joe Schrage, Board Secretary Nick Barnes Others Present: None

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A. Special Meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners – April 8, 2022 Chairman Rachman requested a motion to approve the open and closed session Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners for the date of April 8, 2022.

Commissioner Katz moved to approve the minutes.

On a voice vote:

Voting Yea: Chairman Rachman, Commissioner Katz

Voting Nay: None

Abstain: None

Absent: Commissioner Adatto

Chairman Rachman declared that the motion passed.

Special Meeting – Board of Fire and Police Commissioners

CLOSED SESSION

Chairman Rachman entertained a motion from Commissioner Katz that the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners close its meeting to the public pursuant to Section 2(c) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2(c)) for the purpose of discussing personnel matters.

On a voice vote:

Voting Yea: Chairman Rachman, Commissioner Katz

Voting Nay: None

Abstain: None

Absent: Commissioner Adatto

Chairman Rachman declared that the motion passed.

At 4:33 PM the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners recessed the public portion of the meeting to meet in closed session.

At 4:36 PM Chairman Rachman reconvened the open session of the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners and asked for a roll call. All members previously role called were present.

CLOSED SESSION REVIEW

The Board discussed and came to a consensus on post-offer screening elements for Firefighter / EMT II candidates Niko Stefani and Nicholas Traske.

SCHEDULED BUSINESS

The Board communicated a consensus decision on the following PASS/FAIL post-offer screening elements for Firefighter / EMT II candidate Niko Stefani:

Chairman Rachman entertained a motion by Katz to adjourn the meeting.

Chairman Rachman declared that the motion passed.

The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners adjourned its meeting at 4:39 PM
