The Cook Memorial Public Library District has introduced a new resource to its Digital Studio 2 - the Cricut Explore 3. This addition aims to provide library patrons with an opportunity to engage in creative activities during the winter months.
The Cricut Explore 3 allows users to create various items such as greeting cards and stickers. It is connected to the Digital Studio computer via Bluetooth and includes the Cricut Design Space software. The library also has a Cricut Access subscription, enabling users to choose from a wider range of designs and fonts for their projects.
The library offers workshops on all equipment available in its Digital Studios on a rotational basis. Those new to the Cricut vinyl cutter can register for a workshop designed to teach them how to use both the machine and its software. Experienced users are encouraged to sign up for time in Digital Studio 2 and explore what Cricut Access offers.
For those seeking inspiration or guidance on potential projects, the Cricut website features a blog showcasing various ideas and tutorials. Topics covered include making custom decals, labels, glass etching, and cake decorations.
Residents interested in using the Cricut Explore 3 can reserve time at either of Cook Memorial Public Library District's locations.
"With cold temperatures, slush-covered roads, and little sunlight, wintertime can feel really boring," said a representative from the library district. "We aim to change that by offering resources like our new Cricut Explore 3. "
