Lake Barrington and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) are seeking public input on the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Residents are invited to participate in a new questionnaire aimed at gathering feedback on transportation habits and potential improvements.

As CMAP spearheads the development of the RTP—northeastern Illinois’ strategic plan for future roads, rails, and trails over the next 30 years—public responses will play a crucial role in shaping efforts to enhance transportation, reduce congestion, and promote sustainability.

"Together, we can create a transportation system that works for everyone," said CMAP representatives.

The questionnaire will be open throughout 2025, allowing ample time for all interested parties to contribute. Whether daily commuters, cyclists, or those simply interested in community development, all residents are encouraged to participate.

For further information about the RTP or questionnaire—or to request CMAP's participation in local events—individuals can contact [email protected].
