The Round Lake Police Department conducted a St. Patrick’s Day Traffic Safety Campaign from March 7 to March 18, aimed at reminding motorists to buckle up and drive sober.
During the campaign, the Round Lake Police reported the following enforcement outcomes:
- 1 DUI arrest
- 21 Occupant Restraint (seat belt) violations
- 6 Speeding violations
- 8 Uninsured vehicle violations
- 6 Traffic control device/signal violations
- 1 Criminal arrest for outstanding warrant
- 11 Other traffic citations
The Round Lake Police Department joined other state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in the St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign.
The safety effort was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
