District 103 formally recognizes its 184 certified staff members during National Teacher Appreciation Week from May 5 through May 9. The district’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is showing its appreciation with the theme of “Shine So Bright.” The PTO will recognize teachers throughout the week with lunch, treats, and other acts of kindness for their work both in and beyond the classrooms. The Board of Education also thanked its teachers at the school board meeting on May 6.

"Your dedication to our students is nothing short of remarkable. Each day, you step into your classrooms and our schools not just to teach subjects but to nurture their minds, inspire their creativity, and shape them into well-rounded individuals. You create a learning environment that is engaging, challenging, and supportive, where every student feels valued and empowered," said Superintendent Scott Warren.

"I know that your work can be demanding, and I want to assure you that your efforts are not only appreciated but are deeply valued. You are the heart and soul of our schools, and we are incredibly lucky to have you. Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and your commitment to our students. You are making a difference, and we are so grateful for all that you do," Dr. Warren said.
