Six fine arts students chosen for IMEA District 7 honor ensembles

Six students from the Fine Arts department have been selected to perform in the Illinois Music Education Association (IMEA) District 7 Honors Ensembles. District 7 is recognized as the most competitive among all IMEA districts. The ensembles are scheduled to meet and perform on Saturday, November 8 at Grayslake North or on November 15 at Libertyville.

Peter Scholtens earned a place in the choir despite not being enrolled in a choir ensemble this semester. Evan Wold auditioned and was selected for two ensembles: the main choir and the vocal jazz choir.

The following students were recognized for their achievements:

Peter Scholtens - Choir - Tenor 1

Wesley Rydberg - Jazz Band - Trombone

Cody Hoover - Orchestra - String Bass

Lily Gallegos - Band - Bb Clarinet

Evan Wold - Choir - Bass I, Vocal Jazz II - Bass I

Luke Torkilsen - Choir - Bass I
