Many educators and administrators from Woodland Primary School will volunteer at the upcoming "Shop with a Primary Educator" event. The event invites students to shop alongside their current or former teachers to select items for donation to the school's annual food drive. All families in the district are welcome to participate.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Walmart located at 6590 Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Organizers encourage participation to help make the holiday season positive for all community members. "Help us make this a happy holiday season for all by donating to our Holiday Food Drive. Shop with an educator from Woodland Primary to purchase your donation for Woodland's Annual Food Drive," reads the invitation.
