The Coalers Volleyball Program held its 10th Annual Childhood Cancer Awareness/Megan Bugg Night on Monday, September 15. The event, organized during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, is dedicated to honoring Megan Bugg’s efforts to end childhood cancer through advocacy and research. Megan was a supporter of Coaler Volleyball, and the team has supported her mission.
Fundraising activities for the cause include the annual Megan Bugg Night and a 5K Run/Walk that took place last weekend in Coal City. These events have helped the Megan’s Mission Foundation raise more than $2 million to support ongoing research into cures for childhood cancers. Dr. Kent Bugg, Megan’s father, attended this year’s event.
