Coal City High School’s PATH and Transitions classes recently volunteered at Our Caring Closet, a community care center located in Wilmington. The students collaborated with other volunteers on various tasks at the center. The Transitions class has been volunteering at the center for four years. Our Caring Closet is a nonprofit organization that provides household goods and clothing to people in need, aiming to offer these items in a respectful environment.

Coal City Community Unit School District 1 includes several schools: Coal City Early Childhood Center, Coal City Elementary School, Coal City High School, Coal City Intermediate School, and Coal City Middle School.
