Oak School principal recognized by District 181 during Principal Appreciation Month

Principal Effey Nassis of Oak School has been recognized by Hinsdale Community Consolidated School District 181 during Principal Appreciation Month for her leadership and commitment to the school community.

Nassis began her role as principal at Oak School in July 2022. Since then, she has been noted for her dedication to students, staff, and families. The district highlighted her efforts to foster collaboration and build strong relationships within the school community.

Among her achievements, Principal Nassis received the "Those Who Excel" award from the Illinois State Board of Education. The district stated, "This award is a testament to her innovative spirit and her dedication to best practices in education."

District officials also acknowledged Nassis's role in creating a positive learning environment. "Her dynamic energy, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic have been pivotal to Oak School's successes," the statement read. They further noted her leadership in encouraging collaboration among colleagues and focusing on enriching learning experiences.

The district serves schools across DuPage and Cook counties, including Oak Elementary School, Clarendon Hills Middle School, Elm Elementary School, Hinsdale Middle School, Madison Elementary School, Monroe Elementary School, Prospect Elementary School, The Lane Elementary School, and Walker School.
