The You Make a Difference breakfast for October was held at Antioch Community High School on Thursday, October 9. The event recognized students who were nominated for making a positive impact within the school community.

The following students were among those nominated: Clara Riter, Renata Rodrigues Zardo, Thyry Patterson, Zoe Babin, Dylan Cherry, Brady Dietrich, Cecilia Garvey, Brooklyn Knowles, Matthew Miller, Elijah Loiacano, Piper Larson, Blake Watson, Jack Bucar, Deven Floyd-Pickett, Nathan Glauser, Alexander Herstowski, Jack Hulting, Damion Johnson, Logan Lennon, Cooper Marabella, Anthony Rivera, Evan Shanks (nominated twice), Gavin Stone, Rylee Dunlavy, Lacey Sjostrom, Pearl Wenzel, Bailie Wnek, Jacob Plinske, Brennan Cameron Giulian Santoyo Kaleb Scott Kate Sheehan Avery Baker Antonio Becerra Kailyn Bockwoldt Reese Carlin Spencer Healy Addison Kane Keely Mason Addison Roggy.

Antioch Community High School is part of Community High School District 117, which serves Lake County and includes both Antioch and Lakes Community High Schools. The district employs 178 teachers with an average salary of $63,920 according to data from the Illinois State Board of Education. Of these teachers 57.6 percent are women and 42.4 percent are men; none have more than ten absences in a school year.
