Collinsville schools mark Hispanic Heritage Month with student-led celebrations

The Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 marked National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 to October 15, with a range of activities across the district. The Collinsville High School Hispanic Heritage Club organized a special event for elementary students by visiting Kreitner and Caseyville Elementary Schools. During these visits, club members presented a celebration focused on Hispanic traditions and heritage. The activities included games, crafts, and performances.

In addition to these events, the district provided information about the terms Hispanic and Latino, offering resources in both English and Spanish for students and families.
