Lake Forest Community High School District 115 has announced that the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released its 2025 report card, with Lake Forest High School (LFHS) students earning the highest designation of Exemplary for the fourth consecutive year.
According to a press release, for the 2024–25 school year, Lake Forest High School juniors in District 115 achieved strong results on the state’s new ACT proficiency benchmarks. Specifically, 85.5% met English Language Arts standards and 77.6% met Math standards, ranking the district highly among comparable peers. Using ACT–SAT concordance, these scores correspond to SAT pass rates above 69%, reflecting progress aligned with district priorities. LFHS also ranks in the top tier for attendance and lowest chronic absenteeism, establishing a new baseline under ISBE’s updated assessment framework and marking a transition from SAT to ACT accountability measures.
District 115 highlighted ongoing efforts to support student success through enhanced ACT readiness programs, expanded tutoring, and co-taught classes for English Learners. This places the district in the top 8% statewide for multilingual student progress. Graduation rates remain high with no dropouts in the Class of 2025, and the district continues to focus on attendance, learning climate surveys, and post-secondary planning.

Lake Forest Community High School District 115 serves approximately 1,500 students in grades 9–12 from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. The district offers a comprehensive curriculum with advanced placement courses, electives, athletics, performing arts, clubs, and career pathways while emphasizing social-emotional growth and community service. More than 95% of students pursue higher education after graduation. Feeder schools include Deer Path Middle School, Lake Bluff Middle School, as well as local private and parochial schools.
