Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 announced that the Illinois State Board of Education released its 2025 School Report Card, with all five District 67 schools earning the Exemplary designation for strong student performance and achievement in the 2024–25 school year.

According to a press release, all five Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 schools earned the highest designation of Exemplary on the 2024–25 Illinois School Report Card. This marks the district as one of the top-performing in the state and reflects the coordinated efforts of students, staff, and families. The designation recognizes consistent academic excellence and the district’s commitment to continuous improvement across all grade levels.

The report indicates that District 67 students achieved 84.3% proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA) and 79.8% in Math, placing the district in the top 3% and 2% statewide, respectively. Science scores also improved to 83.2% compared to prior benchmarks, despite more rigorous standards being introduced by the state. This establishes a new baseline for performance and demonstrates overall growth across all core subjects.

Individual schools showed notable gains: Sheridan Elementary ranked in the top 1% for ELA and Math; Everett Elementary ranked in the top 1–7%; Cherokee Elementary ranked in the top 3–13%; Deer Path Middle Schools East and West ranked in the top 3–6% in both subjects statewide. Each school continues to implement targeted improvement plans to support student growth, while emphasizing attendance, college and career readiness, and community engagement as essential factors in sustaining high performance.

Lake Forest Community High School District 115 serves about 1,500 students from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. The district offers a wide curriculum with advanced placement courses, electives, athletics, performing arts, clubs, and career pathways while emphasizing social-emotional growth and community service. More than 95% of students pursue higher education after graduation. Feeder schools include Deer Path Middle School, Lake Bluff Middle School, and local private and parochial schools. According to Lake Forest Schools, Districts 115 and 67 share services such as administration, finance, human resources, technology, and special education to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
