Eighth grade students at Woodland Middle School have received order forms for promotion gowns ahead of the 2025-2026 school year ceremony, scheduled for May 26 and May 27. The school requires all students participating in the promotion to wear a gown. Pins and ribbons are optional purchases.
Families who choose not to buy a new gown, or plan to use one from a previous student, are still asked to return the completed form with a guardian’s signature and the student’s name as it should appear on their certificate. “Even if you choose to use a sibling's gown or if you will not be able to participate in promotion for whatever reason, every student will receive a promotion certificate, so make sure we know how you want the name to appear on that certificate by filling out the form,” according to information sent home.
The cost of a new gown is $18. Optional pins are available for $11 and ribbons for $4. Orders can be placed by returning the form with payment via cash or check or through an online order system. All orders must include the student's full name (with middle initial) as it should appear on their certificate and their height with shoes on.
The deadline for submitting orders is January 16, 2026. For questions, families can contact the Woodland Middle School main office by phone at 847-856-3400 or email at MSOffice@dist50.net.
