Antioch trustees consider request to annex, rezone W. Route 173 property

At a recent meeting, the Antioch Village Board of Trustees held a public hearing on a request that the village annex and rezone the property at 22221 W. Route 173.

The Antioch Village Board of Trustees consists of six members, all of whom are elected for four-year staggered terms. The board is the legislative body of the village government. Board meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month at  Village Hall, 874 Main St.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

PUBLIC HEARING – 7:00 PM

Municipal Building: 874 Main Street, Antioch, IL

May 16, 2016

I. CALL TO ORDER

Mayor Hanson called the May 16, 2016 Public Hearing regarding a request for annexation in to the Village of Antioch and rezoning the property from the Village of Antioch’s B-3 Business District zoning classification for property located at 22221 W. Route 173 to order at 7:30 pm in the Municipal Building: 874

Main Street, Antioch, IL.

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The Mayor and Board of Trustees led the Pledge of Allegiance.

III. ROLL CALL

Roll call indicated the following Trustees were present: Macek, Poulos, Jozwiak, Pierce and Johnson.

Also present were Mayor Hanson, Attorney Long, Administrator Keim and Clerk Folbrick. Absent: Trustee

Dominiak.

IV. PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR

2015-2016 - Trustee Jozwiak moved, seconded by Trustee Johnson, to continue the public hearing to June 6,

2016. Upon roll call, the vote was:

YES: 5: Macek, Poulos, Jozwiak, Pierce and Johnson.

NO: 0.

ABSENT: 1: Dominiak.

THE MOTION CARRIED.

Trustee Jozwiak moved, seconded by Trustee Pierce to adjourn the public hearing until its continuance to June 6, 2016. Upon roll call, the vote was:

YES: 5: Macek, Poulos, Jozwiak, Pierce and Johnson.

NO: 0.

ABSENT: 1: Dominiak.

VI. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further discussion, the Village Board of Trustees Public Hearing adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
