Blumenthal plans fundraiser in Highwood

2016

Running for state representative in House District 50, Marty Blumenthal and his campaign committee are inviting the public to join him and U.S. Rep. Robert Dold (R-IL) at a fundraising event in Highwood on Aug. 15.

The fundraiser is slated for 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Blumenthal’s new campaign headquarters at 226 Green Bay Road.

Family, service, humility and integrity comprise some of the values Blumenthal stresses. “Honesty is a given. … Bipartisanship is a must,” he said, and he wants to help constituents remain in Illinois through this difficult time.

“As I write this, we do not have a balanced budget in place as our constitution requires,” Blumenthal said. “We have lost over 100,000 manufacturing jobs to Wisconsin and Indiana in the past several years.”

Blumenthal, an attorney and CPA for over 35 years, specializes in taxation, civil and criminal litigation and business law. He and his family have lived in Highland Park since 1985.

“We must address the serious pension debt affecting our schools and government,” Blumenthal said. “I want to make sure our local environment is safe and clean.”

Tickets for the fundraiser are available for $50 per individual or $80 per couple, with special sponsorships available including bronze for $250; silver for $500; gold for $1,000; or platinum at $2,500. For information, contact Ryan@corstrategies.com or Friends of Martin A. Blumenthal, P.O. Box 1144, Highland Park, IL 60035.
