Grayslake North High School runner Cam Detweiler has signed with the College of Lake County to run cross-country, CLC's athletic website announced recently.
Detweiler was an All-Northern Lake County Conference selection last season and competed in two regional meets. He finished 18th in 17 minutes, 24 seconds, at the 2016 regional meet on Oct. 24 in Antioch. As a junior at the regional meet, he came in 25th wiith a time of 18:27 on Oct. 25, 2015, in Antioch.
Lancers head coach Jorge Colin said he is excited to have Detweiler join the team, according to the website.
“We will look to him to lead the incoming freshmen and give chase to our returners for a spot on our top seven,” Colin said. "He understands our team goals and wants to contribute immediately."
