Analysis: Lake Zurich pays $7.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake Zurich Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.8 percent of the $1,781,554 the Lake Zurich Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Zurich contributed $1,564,453 to the fund, which saw a $79,755 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $218,169, or 12.2 percent, in 2016.
