Report: Lake Villa spent $10,089 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Lake Villa Community Consolidated School District 41 is up 4.8 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $9,626 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,089 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2902 to 2614.

Lake Villa's spending in 2017-18 was 24.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
