The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Mary E. Flowers (D-31) on Nov. 30, 2018, "amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code" and "provides that doula services shall be covered under the medical assistance program," according to the General Assembly website.
