City of Highland Park Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Met Dec. 19.

CALL TO ORDER

At 9:00 AM Chairman Rachman called the meeting to order and called the roll.

ROLL CALL

Members present: Chairman Stephen Rachman, Commissioner Steven Adatto, Commissioner Joel Gingiss

Members absent:

Staff present: Emily Taub, Jen Houtz-Menzies, Larry Amidei

Others present:

BUSINESS FROM THE PUBLIC

There was no business from the public.

SCHEDULED BUSINESS

A. Approval of a Police Officer Lateral Eligibility Process

The Chairman entertained a motion from Commissioner Gingiss to approve a Police Officer Lateral Eligibility Process. Commissioner Adatto seconded the motion.

On a voice vote:

Voting Yea: Chairman Rachman, Commissioner Adatto, Commissioner Gingiss

Voting Nay: None

Abstaining : None

Chairman Rachman declared that the motion passed.

CLOSED SESSION

Chairman Rachman entertained a motion from Commissioner Adatto that the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners close its meeting to the public pursuant to Section 2(c) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/ 2(c)) for the purpose of discussing personnel matters. Commissioner Gingiss seconded the motion.

On a roll call vote:

Voting Yea: Chairman Rachman, Commissioner Adatto, Commissioner Gingiss

Voting Nay: None

Abstaining : None

Chairman Rachman declared that the motion passed.

At 9:03 AM the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners recessed the public portion of the meeting to meet in closed session.

At 3:10 PM Chairman Rachman reconvened the open session of the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners and called the roll.

ROLL CALL

Members present: Chairman Stephen Rachman, Commissioner Steven Adatto, Commissioner Joel Gingiss

Members absent:

Staff present: Emily Taub, Jen Houtz-Menzies, Larry Amidei

Others present:

CLOSED SESSION REVIEW

Chairman Rachman noted that the Board interviewed Firefighter / EMT II candidates and created the preliminary eligibility list.

OTHER BUSINESS

There was no other business.

ADJOURNMENT

Chairman Rachman entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Gingiss moved to adjourn. Commissioner Adatto seconded the motion.

On a voice vote:

Voting Yea: Chairman Rachman, Commissioner Adatto, Commissioner Gingiss

Voting Nay: None

Abstaining: N/A

Chairman Rachman declared that the motion passed.

The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners adjourned its meeting at 3:19 PM.
