Senate Republican Leader Dan McConchie (Lake Zurich) recently posted on his Facebook page what he calls “A great reminder as the Illinois Senate is back in session.”
He wants his constituents to know, “The real benefit of being a legislator is getting to meet people from all walks of life and carry their perspectives to the capitol,” the representative from Hawthorn Woods in the northwest suburbs of Chicago posted.
In the five years he's represented his constituents in the 26th District, McConchie has fought for balanced budgets, lower taxes, and reforms he said would boost the state’s economy.
He currently has more than 10 Senate Bills queued for hearings during the 102nd General Assembly.
McConchie currently serves as Minority Spokesperson for the Appropriations II Committee and the State Government Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the Public Health, Higher Education, Insurance, Labor, and Telecommunications and Info Technology committees.
