Report: Wauconda School District spent $14,211 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Wauconda Community Unit School District 118 was up 28.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $11,069 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,211 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,793 to 4,491 students over the same period.

Wauconda's spending in 2019-20 was 1.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
