Q1 2022 Recap: 1 parolee from Lake County convicted of crimes against justice set for release

There was one offender convicted of a crime against justice living in Lake County released on parole during the first quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Lake County Gazette.

The data shows the released offender was a man. He was convicted in 2021 when he was 29 years old. He is now 31.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
