Saturday, Aug. 19

Put on your boots, grab some work gloves, and help restore the environment during Restoration Workday from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at Grant Woods Forest Preserve, located at 25405 W. Monaville Road in Ingleside. No experience is necessary and the event is free to attend. Children 10 years and older are welcome with an adult.

Wednesday, Aug. 23

Test your knowledge at the Beer Garden Trivia Night from 6 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at Beer Garden at Independence Grove, located at 16400 W. Buckley Road in Libertyville. Teams will be quizzed on nature, history, forest preserves, and more. Prizes will be awarded to the first-place team and include tokens for the Beer Garden. Other prizes will be offered to people under the age of 21. Admission is free.
