Illinois Political Commentator: ‘In terms of the technological tools, we have the opportunity to do more nefarious things more quietly’

Dan Proft, the Chicago Morning Answer radio show host, discussed how technology and online communities have changed the political sector.

“I don’t think anythings changed, it’s just in terms of the technological tools, we have the opportunity to do more nefarious things more quietly,” Proft told host Jansons or Weiss on the Lake Forest podcast. “Like we’ve seen with the Twitter files, or the collusion with Big Government and Big Tech to censor people or take them offline and so forth.”

“I think it’s better because it is more diffused, more fragmented, because more voices are heard,” Proft said. “You can do a podcast and have more viewership or readership than the local television station.”

This full episode is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

The December 30 edition of the podcast focused on school choice and the state of education in Illinois. Furthermore, the way that decision in this regard affects the state of Illinois is discussed.

The Lake Forest podcast is hosted by Pete Jansons, an entrepreneur with a background in neuroscience, Rick Lesser, an attorney and former village trustee, and Joe Weiss, who has experience in multiple government and public service positions. The podcast covers topics and politics impacting the area around the city of Lake Forest, according to the Lake Forest podcast website.
