Wings and Talons, a raptor education foundation, invites the public to attend "Raptors by the Seasons," an interactive workshop featuring live birds of prey. During this session, experts from Wings and Talons will discuss various aspects of raptor life across different seasons.
The workshop will cover topics such as migration phases of birds of prey, their remarkable journeys, adaptations of non-migratory raptors for seasonal survival, and the skills that enable these birds to thrive in diverse environments.
This event is organized in collaboration with the Village of Hawthorn Woods and the Ancient Oaks Foundation, aiming to promote community conservation and strengthen connections with nature. The program is designed for both bird enthusiasts and those curious about wildlife, offering participants a chance to see raptors up close and learn about their important role in ecosystems.
Registration for the event is required; fees are $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents.
