Tonio White, an Early Childhood Educator at Orchard Park Academy, embodies a passion for teaching that is immediately apparent upon entering his classroom. Inspired by his older brother, also an educator, Tonio says that "every lightbulb moment with my 3- and 4-year-old students reaffirms my passion for teaching. "

Tonio's educational journey began in North Carolina, where he earned his teaching credentials at East Carolina University. A self-described country boy who cherishes open spaces and mountains, he has spent nine years in the classroom. After stints in Hawaii and California, he is now settling into his role within Westminster Public Schools (WPS).

When asked about what WPS means to him, Tonio responded: "WPS is a community of learning where educators, families, and neighbors come together as one supportive family. "

Various influences inspire Tonio's dedication to education. He cites his parents; his brother; and his partner Janelle—a CSU professor—whose commitment to their respective fields continues to motivate him daily.
