Parents of high school students in Riverwoods have new opportunities for their children to engage with the community through two local organizations.
Riverwoods Resident Association (RRA):
The RRA consists of village volunteers dedicated to fostering an active and engaged community. Their mission is to support social and charitable activities among residents, aiming to build a thriving, volunteer-driven organization that promotes a sense of community and giving.
The RRA organizes events such as the annual Halloween Spooktacular and Residents Day. They are currently planning the next Arts & Riverwoods event scheduled for May 2-4, 2025, which will showcase works by local artists.

Riverwoods Preservation Council (RPC):
The RPC is a non-profit organization focused on advocating for environmental awareness and educating the community on ecological matters. It promotes environmentally sound practices through various events throughout the year.
The RPC hosts activities including an annual garage sale, native plant sale, Talk 'n Trash webinars, Recycle-O-Ramas, and Earth Day Celebrations.
