During the repair of a water main break on Hart Road, a gas line was accidentally struck. Public Works, the Round Lake Fire Department, and Nicor Gas are currently on the scene. Authorities confirm that the area is secure and there is no immediate danger to the public.
As a result of the incident, Hart Road is closed between Cedar Lake Road and Route 134 until further notice. Additionally, Village Hall will be closed for the remainder of the day.
Officials appreciate public patience and assure that updates will be provided as they become available. Residents are advised to avoid the area if possible.
