The search for the next principal of Laura B. Sprague School for the 2025-2026 school year has commenced. District officials are seeking input from the community regarding the desired qualities and characteristics of the next principal.

A community input meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office, located at 111 Barclay Blvd., Lincolnshire.

In addition to the meeting, residents are encouraged to complete an online principal interest form addressing the question, "What characteristics do you believe are important for the next Principal of Laura B. Sprague School to possess?"

The district is also seeking volunteers to serve on the interview committee. Interviews will be conducted during the week of May 12. Interested individuals can indicate their participation through the principal interest form.

This search follows Ms. Ann Hofmeier's acceptance of a new position as Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition at the Exceptional Learners Collaborative in Vernon Hills, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.

District officials expressed gratitude towards Ms. Hofmeier for her leadership over the past eight years, noting her commitment to student growth, academic excellence, and community well-being.

"We are deeply grateful to Ms. Hofmeier for her dedicated leadership over the past eight years," said a district representative. "Her unwavering commitment to student growth, academic excellence, and the well-being of the Sprague community has made a meaningful and lasting impact. "
