Dominick DiMaggio Mayor | Hawthorn Woods Village
Hawthorn Woods has been recertified by Audubon International, making it the first community in Illinois to receive this recognition.
Jill Moore, the Sustainable Communities Specialist for Audubon International, presented the certificate during the Concert in the Park at Community Park last Friday. Moore spent the day touring the municipality with village staff and meeting with business managers, environmental groups, and public officials.
The village invites residents to celebrate its continued partnership with Audubon International and commitment to sustainable environmental stewardship.
