The Round Lake Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement campaign during the Fourth of July period from June 20 to July 7. The initiative aimed to ensure road safety and was part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," "Drive High Get a DUI," and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns. These campaigns are supported by federal highway safety funds through the Illinois Department of Transportation.

During this enforcement period, the police issued 31 citations for seat belt violations. Additional actions included three arrests for driving with a suspended license or without a valid license, two uninsured motorist citations, two speeding citations, two distracted driving citations, four traffic control device violations, one equipment violation, and one arrest for obstructing a peace officer. Seven other citations were also issued.
