Ben Zeller, the Irvin L. & Fern D. Young Presidential Professor of Religion, will participate in a panel discussion on the Center for the Study of Religion & American Culture's new podcast, "Religion &." The episode is scheduled to air on October 23 and will focus on how contemporary religious movements respond to current political, cultural, and environmental challenges.

The panel will explore topics such as technological change and ecological issues, discussing how new religious movements adapt ancient traditions to address modern problems and create new ways of living.

“We live in a daunting time, and listeners on the live podcast will learn how people look to new religious ideas, groups, and ideologies to make sense of the world today," Zeller said. "I’m looking forward to being part of this diverse panel conversation and talking about religious responses to social, technological, and environmental changes.”

Zeller is one of three featured panelists for this episode. The discussion will be moderated by host Kelly E. Hayes. The podcast will be broadcast live via Zoom with an opportunity for audience questions.

The Center for the Study of Religion & American Culture organizes the podcast as part of its work examining the relationship between religion and other aspects of American society.
