Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) records show that 93.0 percent of Libertyville High School's (LHS) 2015 graduating class enrolled in college within 12 months of graduation.
The 2015 state average for students in public schools was 70 percent.
For LHS, its college enrollment rate marks an improvement over 2014, when 87.0 percent of its graduates chose post-secondary education.
Among high schools in Lake County, the Class of 2015 college-readiness rates were all lower than at LHS. The data, collected by the National Student Clearinghouse, includes two- and four-year colleges.
Enrollment at LHS in 2015 was 2,022; 518 (25.62 percent) were seniors.
Also, ISBE said 84.4 percent of LHS seniors were "college ready" in 2015, vs. an average of 46 percent statewide.
All students who score a 21 on the ACT qualify as "college ready."
LHS students did better on reading (77.0 percent) and English (91.5 percent) and worse on science (68.7) and math (77.0).
Only 59.0 percent of LHS students were college ready in all four subjects, ISBE said.
