Report: Diamond Lake spent $13,125 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Diamond Lake School District 76 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $11,843 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $13,125 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1127 to 1015.

Diamond Lake's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
