Diamond Lake School District 76 issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.
School Information:
Great start to the year: The beginning of the 18-19 school year has been tremendous. The students are adjusting nicely with being back at school. The Spirit Snap is a weekly communique for parents regarding school, district, and community information. Parents are reminded that if they have questions they should, reach out to your child’s teachers, check the school’s website @ www.dist76.org, or contact the school office @ 847-566-9220.
Chromebooks: Students will receive their Chromebooks on Monday, August 20. Parents are asked to remind their children that Chromebooks are a tool for learning and that they are responsible for them.
Picture Day: Picture day is August 29. Information regarding picture day was sent home today with students.
Athletics: Students must have a current physical on file prior to trying out for any sport.
Fall Season:
Soccer: Tryouts for boys and girls soccer are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, August 21 & 22 after school. Soccer is open to all 6-8 students.
Cross country: Practice begins Monday, August 20 for all 5-8 grade students interested.
