Bryan Henley has been named the Lake County Regional Office of Education Educator of the Year. Since joining his school community two years ago, Henley has made significant contributions both in and out of the classroom, leading to his nomination.

Henley's enthusiasm for STEM education is reflected in his teaching of courses such as Graphic Design, STEM, and Robotics for seventh and eighth graders. His curriculum incorporates real-world applications to engage students effectively. Notably, he introduced a laptop repair class that addresses school needs while providing students with technical skills. This initiative has saved resources for the school and offered practical experiences to students.

In addition to academics, Henley contributes to student development as the coach for Palombi’s basketball and volleyball teams. He emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and resilience—principles that extend beyond sports. His coaching philosophy aligns with his teaching approach by encouraging discipline and confidence.

Henley is also leading the establishment of a new esports program at his school. By collaborating with administration and the technology department, he aims to provide students access to opportunities in competitive gaming, which is closely linked to STEM careers.

"Bryan Henley exemplifies innovation," said a representative from Lake County Regional Office of Education.

Through creative teaching methods and extracurricular leadership roles, Henley has fostered an environment where students are encouraged to explore their passions and prepare for future success.
