Report: Wauconda spent $11,882 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Wauconda Community Unit School District 118 is up 11 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $10,687 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,882 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4538 to 4711.

Wauconda's spending in 2016-17 was 8 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
