Report: Wauconda spent $12,443 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Wauconda Community Unit School District 118 is up 16.3 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $10,701 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,443 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 4608 to 4687.

Wauconda's spending in 2017-18 was 6.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
